A collection of prints inspired by the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve, which was designated as such in 2000 as part of the “Man and the Biosphere” UNESCO programme. Located in the Colombian Western Caribbean, its protected status has conserved key species and ecosystems of strategic value, for both Colombia and the Caribbean and the world. Different Caribbean islands give their names to the fabrics in this collection.
San Andrés: fabric featuring a palm tree design inspired by the natural landscapes of San Andrés: island in the Colombian Caribbean. Printed on white 100% cotton and available in tow tones: blue/green and red/aqua.
Johnny Cay: multipurpose fabric printed on a blend of cotton featuring a gurative design evoking the shapes of bark. Available in blue, green and red.
Rose Cay: printed fabric on 100% cotton featuring a uid abstract design that brings to mind the movement of the sea. Perfect for all decorative uses and available in two colour ranges.
When the Caribbean and art merge
Introducing an architectural gem, the Azulik hotel on the Caribbean coast of Tulum. A place where nature, art and ancestral tradition coexist.
Its labyrinthine passages, built in wood, connect the 48 rooms of the hotel with the trees of the area, which grow freely forming an authentic vegetal jungle. Also, there is no electric light, no air conditioning or television. Nature and art are the main amenities of the hotel.
Sferik is the interdisciplinary space of the hotel. It is a gallery and place to hold workshops and residencies with artists from all over the world. An oasis within the hotel that fuses architecture with the work of important visual artists such as Ernesto Neto Sceno, Cecilia Bengolea, Aki Inomata or Sissel Tolaa.
